Israeli authorities on Sunday reported a car-ramming attack in the area of Nir Tzvi junction, adjacent to the Tzirin military base in central Israel. The attack occurred when a car rammed into people at a bus station moments before the police neutralized the suspect.
Four people injured from the attack were taken to a nearby medical center, Shamir-Assaf Harofeh for treatment. According to a report given by Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical services, one person was seriously injured when they arrived at the scene. Two of them were approximately 20 years old. The victims have been positively identified as Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) soldiers.
In a statement recorded by MDA Paramedic Michelle Rashkovski and MDA EMT Shneor Tsik, they said, “When we arrived at the scene, we saw a vehicle that had hit pedestrians stopped at a bus stop. We immediately called additional forces to the scene. Near the bus stop, 2 men about 20 years old were lying….”
The suspect in the attack was shot dead by the police as shown in a viral video. The police have identified the suspect as a Palestinian man from East Jerusalem. They have also termed the attack as a “suspected terror attack.”
