Yes. Screenshots and transaction hashes can be enough to begin a crypto scam investigation, especially when the screenshots show how the scam occurred and the hashes identify the blockchain transactions connected to your loss. Jim Recovery Team can start with those records, determine what additional evidence is useful, and investigate the transactions linked to the incident.

Why Are Transaction Hashes Important?

A transaction hash, or TXID, provides a verifiable reference to a blockchain transaction. It can help establish the sending and receiving addresses, amount transferred, timestamp, cryptocurrency, and network.

If you have several hashes, they can be examined together to determine whether the payments are connected and what happened to the funds after each transaction.

What Do the Screenshots Add?

Screenshots can provide information that does not exist on the blockchain. They may show the scammer’s payment instructions, fake investment account, withdrawal conversations, support messages, wallet addresses, usernames, or claims made about your funds.

For example, a screenshot showing a wallet address alongside a request to make a payment can help connect the scam communication to the corresponding blockchain transaction.

Is More Evidence Needed?

Possibly. The TXIDs and screenshots may provide a strong starting point, but additional records can improve the investigation.

Useful material can include:

Wallet addresses
Emails, Telegram, WhatsApp, or other messages
Exchange records and payment receipts
Website or platform details
Withdrawal requests
A timeline of deposits and communications
Information about how you first encountered the scam

You do not need to reconstruct the entire blockchain trail yourself. The investigator can use the known transactions as starting points for analyzing subsequent activity.

What Can the Investigation Determine?

The available evidence can be used to investigate where the cryptocurrency was sent, how it moved afterward, whether multiple transactions are connected, and whether the fund trail reaches a significant or identifiable service.

Blockchain tracing can establish movement between addresses, but it does not automatically establish the real-world identity of the person controlling an address.

If you want to start the investigation with the evidence you already have, Jim Recovery Team can take your screenshots and transaction hashes, review the circumstances of the scam, analyze the relevant blockchain activity, and assess the case for further tracing or possible recovery efforts.

For a case assessment, contact [email protected] or WhatsApp +1 (929) 399-9264. Send the TXIDs, screenshots, known wallet addresses, cryptocurrency and network, and any related communications. The initial assessment can determine whether the available evidence is sufficient to begin, what additional records would help, and what should be investigated next.
